This Privacy Policy explains how Self Made Apps (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use the online BARTER game at game.playbarter.ph (the “Game”), including when you sign in with Google.
Who we are
BARTER: Tiangge Edition is published by Self Made Apps. Our marketing site is at playbarter.ph. This policy covers the Game only; see playbarter.ph/privacy for our marketing site.
Information we collect
- Google account information — if you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your Google user ID, display name, email address, and profile picture through our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this to identify your account and show your name in the game.
- Gameplay data — when you play online, we store match records such as room codes, player names, scores, game events, and timestamps so matches can be saved and replayed.
- Session data — we use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and protect routes that require authentication.
- Technical logs — our hosting providers may collect IP address, browser type, and request logs for security and reliability.
How we use information
We use your information to:
- authenticate you and provide access to online play;
- run multiplayer sessions and enforce game rules on our servers;
- save match history and replays linked to your account;
- maintain, secure, and improve the Game;
- respond to support requests and abuse reports.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
The Game relies on:
- Google — for sign-in (subject to Google's Privacy Policy);
- Supabase — for authentication and database storage;
- Vercel — for hosting the web client;
- Our game server host — for real-time multiplayer (WebSocket connections).
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention
We retain account and match data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Game. You may contact us to request deletion of your account data, subject to legal and operational requirements (for example fraud prevention or backup retention).
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from the Game home screen. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Without signing in, online multiplayer is not available.
Children
BARTER is designed for ages 8 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Contact us if you believe a child has provided account data.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, authenticated sessions, and server-side validation of player tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Game after changes means you accept the updated policy.
